Calgary Judge Rejects Father’s Bid to Stop MAID for Daughter With No Apparent Physical Illness (Epoch Times, 3/24/2024) A Calgary judge has rejected a motion to stop a 27-year-old autistic woman from undergoing medical assistance in dying (MAID), despite reports that she suffers from no physical illness and there is no documentation as to how she was approved for the procedure. Justice Colin Feasby of Alberta’s Court of King’s Bench ruled that the woman, who is unnamed due to a publication ban, will be able to undergo MAID, rejecting an intervention by her father, who argued that the 27-year-old was not competent to make the choice to end her own life. In his ruling, Justice Feasby stated that the “dignity and right to self-determination” of the woman was more important than the issues raised by her father, which included describing the harm he would suffer from losing his daughter. The ruling, which is stayed for 30 days pending a possible appeal, comes just weeks after the father asked the court for a judicial review of the process that allowed his daughter to qualify for MAID. In Alberta, the MAID process involves a panel of two doctors, but in the case of the 27-year- old woman, the initial doctors disagreed with each other—one approving and the other denying her access to assisted suicide. A third doctor who was brought in supported the woman’s request. Justice Feasby, however, denied the father a judicial review, saying, “The court cannot review a MAID applicant’s decision-making or the clinical judgment of the doctors and nurse practitioners involved in assessing an applicant’s suitability for MAID.” Justice Feasby…if this woman dies, her blood will be on your hands!!! This is why the Freedom Party of Canada will demand that we have elections of Judges every two years…. because we have judges with no common sense or in some cases no set of morals!!! This is aggregious and a travesty of Justice! The expansion of MAID is unpopular with the Canadian public, according to a February 2023 Angus Reid poll. The poll found that 51 percent of respondents opposed expansion and 31 percent supported it. Since becoming legal in 2016 until 2022, more than 44,000 people died from assisted suicide, making it a leading cause of death across Canada and accounting for 4.1 percent of all deaths in the country. In 2022 alone, the Canadian government recorded 13,241 deaths from MAID, putting assisted suicide deaths well above the 3,593 suicides reported that year and making MAID the sixth leading cause of death overall, behind cerebrovascular diseases, cancerous tumours, heart disease, COVID-19, and accidents/unintentional injuries. These deaths are on you Justin Trudeau… their blood is on your hands… .just because you want to save money paying them assistance. You are shameful and a traitor to every Canadian! The bill makes it a felony to own or sell child sex dolls, defined in the bill as "an anatomically correct or anatomically precise doll, mannequin, or robot that may consist of an entire body, pelvis, or any other body part, with features of, or with features that resemble, those of a minor intended for use in sexual acts." That is perversion!!! The Freedom Party of Canada denounces the use of the term “Minor Attracted Persons” and we will continue to call these perverts “pedophiles”!!! Brutal Attack Of Elderly Woman Caught On Surveillance Camera In Oakland (RVM, July 7, 2024) An elderly woman was attacked, apparently without cause, in Oakland just after the city’s mayor highlighted a decrease in crime. A video making the rounds on social media shows the victim walking behind another bystander, carrying a bag and a piece of luggage. The unidentified woman was punched in the head and fell to the ground by a man wearing a ‘Wild Boyz’ black zip-up hoodie, white shirt, and black pants. Over 30 elderly women have been robbed and brutally beaten in Oakland, California in the past week. The assailant then took a swing at the bystander walking in front of the elderly woman, who was also carrying a suitcase. Canada Commits Additional $500M in Military Aid to Ukraine (Epoch Times, 7/11/2024) Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has pledged an additional $500 million in military aid to Ukraine in the country’s ongoing war with Russia. The half-a-billion dollars in aid is in addition to the $4 billion in military support and $10 billion in humanitarian aid and other assistance Canada has given Ukraine to date. Mr. Trudeau met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on July 11 during the final day of the NATO summit in the United States, the prime minister’s office said in a press release. So Canada (Trudeau) has given $14.5 billion dollars to Ukraine so far…. yet Trudeau told a Canadian veteran “You’re asking more than we can give”. What a hypocrite. He is bankrupting Canada one day at a time and leveraging the future of all Canadian children! This man belongs in prison for Treason….or worse!!! Yet also, Canada can only afford 60,000 troops in our military for a nation of 40 million people…. I was reading the Bible and in the book of numbers … in ancient times the nation of Israel had an army of over 600,000 soldiers!!! And modern Canada with 40 million people can only muster 60,000 with 40 year old planes (obsolete) and 30 year old ships (obsolete)…. Pathetic!!! At the very minimum we should have a military of 2.5% of the population or 1 million people in our military! Doing this would decrease unemployment and create careers for many Canadians. The Freedom Party of Canada will have a goal of a one million person military. The freedom and security of our country will no longer be a joke but will be taken seriously! We will create a new condition of “Conscription”. Any person graduating high school who has not enrolled in college or university or who has not found employment within 3 months of graduating high school will be conscripted into the Canadian military for a period of 1 year. Any person dropping out of high school will be conscripted into the Canadian military for a period of 5 years. This will eliminate those hanging out on corners selling drugs, using drugs, joining gangs, becoming professional protesters while not working, reduce vandalism etc. Any person graduating college or university who does not go on for further education and who has not found a job within 3 months of graduation will be enrolled for a period of 1 year in the Canadian military. Any adult person who is unemployed for a period of 6 months who has asked for government assistance (Employment insurance or Social Assistance aka welfare) will be enrolled in the military for a period of 1 year. All homeless people will be enrolled in the military for a period of 5 years. They will have a job, a roof over their head, an income and learn a trade or become an officer. If they need rehabilitation for drugs, alcohol, mental illness or other problems, they will receive it at no cost to themselves. We will eliminate homelessness and tent cities in Canada within 1 year. Anyone caught begging for money in any public place will be conscripted into the military for a period of 1 year minimum, depending on their condition. The Freedom Party of Canada will not be giving any more funds to foreign nations until we have our own act together… We will focus on the prosperity of Canada First! Poilievre Not Committed to NATO 2% Guideline: ‘Our Country is Broke’ (Epoch Times, 7/12/2024) Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre has refrained from backing Canada’s new commitment to meet NATO’s defence spending guideline, blaming the state of the country’s finances for his reluctance. “I always say what I mean and mean what I say. I make promises that I can keep,” Mr. Poilievre said at at a July 12 press conference in Montreal. “Our country is broke after nine years of Trudeau.” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said July 11 that Canada would reach the military alliance’s guideline for members to spend 2 percent of GDP on defence by 2032.
