Vandalism No More! 6 Christian churches burned in the last month (as of Feb 15/24). According to the CBC, “At least 33 Canadian churches have burned to the ground since May 2021. Only 2 were accidents.” (Jan 10/24) We have seen that Left Wing radicals have been burning churches, vandalising people’s personal businesses, vandalising cemeteries, vandalising historical sites and museums, and vandalising monument and statues. This will no longer be permitted. The Freedom Party of Canada will enact the following penalties for vandalism: - Vandalism of cemeteries - 10 years jail and paying for damage - Vandalism of historical sites and monuments - 10 years jail and paying for damage - Vandalism of monuments and statues - 10 years jail and paying for damage - Vandalism of churches and buildings of worship - 25 years jail and paying for damages It’s time the Rule of Law be applied and respected!!! The activists took responsibility for smashing several windows at the Radio-Canada building on the night of March 12 and 13, claiming it was done in response to “transphobic rhetoric akin to that of the far right” that the network was amplifying. So what the activists are really saying here is…. if you don’t agree with us…. we will cause violence and vandalize you! The Freedom Party of Canada does not support “any special interest groups”. No person or group is above the law. Why do these cases of vandalism and violence keep happening? Because police response is weak, and penalties are weak. A gas-carrying arsonist was captured on video and his masked face made headlines around the world. The 100 church attacks were country-wide. Fourteen churches served congregations on First Nations reserves. Eleven Calgary churches were hit on a single day. And at least 13 churches were burned to the ground. These were altogether unparalleled and tragic events. Meanwhile, about 100 metres from the Blessed Sacrament Church sits an empty corner in Regina’s Victoria Park. In 2021, the city council voted to remove the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald. The statue had been defaced and the object of protest for weeks previous. Regina city council was only one of many to remove a Macdonald statue. Other city councils did the same in Charlottetown in P.E.I., Victoria in B.C., and Baden, Kingston, and Picton in Ontario. Regarding the church fires, the then-executive director of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association tweeted “burn it all down.” Former Trudeau adviser Gerald Butts went on social media to jeer, “It’s understandable.” And at least three resolutions by Ottawa MP’s seeking to condemn the church attacks were voted down. These are examples of disgraceful attitudes of Canadians in high positions and prime examples of “Cancel Culture”.
